Paul received an MBA from Michigan State University's Eli Broad School of Business after receiving a BA from Albion College. Following graduate school, Paul joined Union Pacific Railroad Company in corporate planning. He then joined Frito-Lay where he held various finance and planning positions and then moved to Kraft Foods where he worked in strategy, sales management and financial management.
Paul is past Vice Chairman for the Denton County Transportation Authority, (DCTA) where he has also served as Treasurer. He has taught in the SMU CFP program.
Paul and his wife, Linda have been married for 30 years, and have 2 children, Natalie and Jason.
Linda is an artist who does painting and murals, is a member of The Cross Timbers Artist Gallery and has donated work to Crossroads Bible Church, Denton County Children's Advocacy Center and Youth and Family Counseling.
In his spare time, Paul enjoys golf, running, reading and travel.
